The Book Baskets Project: Share a Love of Books!
The Book Baskets Project™ Workshop
Bring your Daisies, Brownies, or Juniors to our downtown Kirkwood location for a workshop that includes storytelling, a recycled craft (making book baskets!), and a book swap. We ask for your girls to bring gently used books to donate to The Book Baskets Project™, and we will have a selection of age-appropriate books for them to choose from. Cost is $7.50 per girl and includes a patch. Group rates are available for larger troops and groups other than Girl Scouts (schools, etc...)
The Book Baskets Project™ Service Project
We work with older Girl Scouts and other groups of children (5th grade and up) on a service project that helps promote a love of reading within the Girl Scouts community and beyond. We gather and sort books to be donated to various groups of children, and do some messy crafting to prepare cookie boxes for Book Baskets Project workshops and literacy events. Costs depend on the size of the group and whether patches will be ordered.

We bring a family literacy event to your early childhood program. Includes storytelling, a simplified recycled craft (making book baskets), and a book swap.
